Last May, the Mozambican government announced that it will abolish the Correios de Moçambique (the State owned Post Office in Mozambique) due to financial deficits and the postal services will be in charge of private companies. However the company should continue operating until the end of this year. Known for being one of the countries that issue hundreds of (doubtful) stamps per year, now it won't even have post offices, unfortunately.

No fim de maio passado, o governo moçambicano anunciou que vai abolir os Correios de Moçambique, uma empresa estatal, pelos prejuízos financeiros e que a prestação dos serviços postais será totalmente privatizada. Entretanto a empresa deve continuar funcionando até o final deste ano. Conhecido por ser um dos países que emite centenas de selos (questionáveis) por ano, agora nem Correios terá, infelizmente.
