I have found, on my collection, the brazilian stamp celebrating the bicentenary of the writer Christian Andersen, a beautiful drawing about the The Ugly Duckling.

Our Lady Aparecida is the patron saint of Brazil, represented by a statue of the Virgin Mary located in the Basilica of Aparecida, in the city of Aparecida in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. In Portuguese the name is Nossa Senhora da Conceição Aparecida (Our Lady of the Conception who Appeared). Our Lady of Aparecida is remembered by a national holiday on 12 October.

A stamp from the set celebrating the bicentenary of the arrival of the Portuguese Royal Family in Brazil (they were scaping from Napoleon, his army was invading Portugal). The stamp, on the cover, is remembering the start of the press in Brazil, 200 years ago.

One year ago, I received this postcard from Hungary, it shows the benedict monastery of Pannonhalma, an Unesco World Heritage site. It was incribed on the Unesco list when it celebrated 1000 years old, on 1996.
