Em 2006, o arquipélogo de Kvarken foi o último patrimônio da humanidade finlandês escolhido pela Unesco. Nestas ilhas as terras estão emergindo do fundo do oceano e no futuro a Finlândia será um pouco maior. The Kvarken archipelago was the lastest finnish Unesco WHS elected on 2006. Este foi o primeiro selo postal lançado pelo Paraguai, em 1870. Somente, 20.000 foram impressos (200 folhas). Mas uma grande parte não foi utilizada, em 1890, 9000 exemplares estavam em poder do Tesouro Nacional.

This is the first paraguayan stamp, issue in 1870. Only 20,000 stamps were printed (200 sheets). But not a great number of these stamps were used because as of 1890 there were still 9000 of them in the treasury vaults.

Este é um bem inscrito na lista de Patrimônios da Humanidade pela UNESCO. Thanks to Ami (from Postcrossing), I received this beautiful joint issue, Finland-Sweden, showing Suomenlinna Fortress. It is a Finnish world heritage site.
